changing from mce to pro.

Please help! i currently have xp mce but want to install pro. I know i have
to do a full install not upgrade, which would be fine. but when i reboot from
disk, it gets as far as "setup windows" but when i select this it say cant
find any hard disk drives! i have done a self test in bios, which passed. I
have spoken to manufacture of laptop, and they don't have a clue!

please please please help me. I need pro installed as i have just enroled in
mcp course for xp pro.

From what I have read, MCE is XP pro with the media center components
included.
Is your hard drive a sata drive? You may need to hit F6 when it is copying
the files for xp pro and install the sata drivers for it to see the hard
disk.
