changing file extensions

I have a large number of .tif files that have other
extentions (page numbers of documents) rather than .tif.
I am trying to add the .tif extension to them, so that I
can group and convert them into .pdf files. Is there a
quicker way to add the .tif extension to them than using
File Rename for each separate file?

Why would you do each file separately? Why not ren *.xxx *.tif? Make
sure you limit this to a directory and not all the files on your
computer!
