Changing drive letter

R

Roman King

Due to some problems with my computer, WinXP Pro was re-installed.
Unfortunately, its drive letter came out to be "F", not "C".
I could not change F into C in Disk Management.
It might need to work at the registry, I guess.
Could someone tell me how.? TIA. Roman

You can't change it, short of reinstalling Windows from scratch.

But it doesn't matter. There should be no problem with its being F: As
a matter of fact, it happens to be F: on my computer here, and it
works just fine.

If you'd ever tried that, you'd have known that it will not work on the
system partition/disk.

Nope. You can change the drive of any partition there *except* the one
Windows is installed on.
