changing desktop icon

T

Tony Cooper

I like to replace the "Show Desktop" icon in the taskbar (the row of
icons at the bottom of the screen next to "Start"). The stock icon is
a blurry little thing that looks too much like the Outlook Express and
I/E icon. I've made up an icon for this, but can't figure out how to
change to it.

I have no problem changing other icons on the desktop. However, when
I right-click on "Show Desktop" and click Properties, there is no
"change icon" tab as seen on other shortcuts.

Suggestions?

Create a shortcut to it and put the shortcut on the QL bar rather than original file. Then r/c - Properties will work.

If you are running WinXP, this is where you will find the icons. Here you
can do the right click>change icon thing. I'm not sure where they are in
older versions.
Hope this helps,
Bert
