Changing default font in normal.dotx in Word 2007

I copied my macros etc from word 2003 to 2007 and they are all sitting nicely
in the add-ins ribbon. However, I have somehow got the fot changed to Times
New Roman. I quite like the look of the Calibri font, and would like to
change it back, but even though I go into the dialog box, change the folnt
and hit the 'default' button, a new document comes up with the Times New
Roman font. I have openen the Normal.docx template, and the font there is
Calibri.
Please help.
Thank you.

If you opened a file named Normal.docx, then you weren't looking in the default
template. That is named Normal.dotm.

Did you bring across your Normal.dot from Word 2003?

Or have you played with using "themes" and possible set the Office 2003 theme as
your default?

I'm having problems too... the ONLY way I could change the default font was
to open the Normal template and change it there... there is no longer a
'default' option when you're changing styles/fonts.

But here's the real problem: I managed to do this successfully once, but
after I had some profile problems and had to reset everything, I CAN NO
LONGER FIND this template! I looked where it should be... I've run
searches... I've checked where Microsoft says it's drawing the templates
from... no luck. Can someone help me?

thanks!

In the Home tab, look at the Fonts group. There's a little button in the lower
right-hand corner. Click that to bring up the traditional Fonts dialog box,
that still has the "Default" button.

Ask this in a Windows newsgroup. I don't know how to access the Documents and
Settings for another profile. You'll find a list of Windows groups in the
middle column of this page. Choose the version you're using
