I am buying a new computer and wish to transfer my personal files etc to the
new one by copied CD's.I have no problem with that in the main, but I have
about 500mb of mp3's in my music file, can I copy that to a CD as mp3 files
and then reload it to the new computer. To copy it to an audio cd of course
requires converting of the files and is a very lengthy business.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am not able to do it by means of a cable link.

mp3 files can be treated as straight data files and burned to a CD as
such - do it from Explorer *not* from Media player which *will* insist
on converting, or using a third party program. You would also want to
transfer library catalogs, playlists etc - again as files

and settings Transfer at http://aumha.org/win5/a/fast.htm
