Changing browser settings

Dear all
Can anyone help? I have received an email but cannot open it because my
computer tells me that I have set my browser to 'never check for newer
versions of stored pages'. Can anyone tell me how I change this so that my
browser automatically checks for newer versions?
Please explain in very simple terms, as am new to all jargon!
 
In IE Click on Tools (on the top Taskbar) then Internet Options then Settings - under Temporary Internet Files you can reset it to 'Automatically' check.
