changing automatically by pasting in “codes”

Hi there

I am using Word 2003 and wish to design a generic word document tha
allows it to be used on different occasions with portions of it
contents changing automatically by pasting in “codes” at variou
locations within the document. A very simple example to help make th
situation clearer. Assume the generic document is as follows

Walking up xxxxxx Street toward the Rock and Roll Hall NYC the othe
day, xxxxxxand his assistant, xxxxxx, shared a quick giggle afte
passing a group of women unloading a van and then hearing, from abou
five feet behind them (and for the third time in a short stroll), “Hey
that was xxxxxx.”

The generic document is now changed by pasting the codes below in t
replace the xxxxx’s
• Code A
• Code B
• Code C
and becomes

Walking up Code A Street toward the Rock and Roll Hall NYC the othe
day, Code B and his assistant, Code C , shared a quick giggle afte
passing a group of women unloading a van and then hearing, from abou
five feet behind them (and for the third time in a short stroll), “Hey
that was Code B .”
• Code A is Hill
• Code B is Mick Jagger
• Code C is Don Henley

The document now needs to respond to theses codes and become:

Walking up Hill Street toward the Rock and Roll Hall NYC the other day
Mick Jagger and his assistant, Don Henley, shared a quick giggle afte
passing a group of women unloading a van and then hearing, from abou
five feet behind them (and for the third time in a short stroll), “Hey
that was Mick Jagger.”

My Efforts So Far
1. I am aware that “Auto correct” has the function “Replace With
however I cannot get this to respond to a “paste” function rather tha
a “as you type” function.
2. I wish to be able to use the generic document and its ability t
respond to code on various computers. I have therefore moved away fro
considering auto correct as this relates only to the particular compute
that I have modified the “Auto correct” to Replace With.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, please ask fo
clarification if needed, thank you.
Cheers, Ji
