Changing attachment security

How UNSAFE is it to change some of the files that Outlook will not allow as
attachments? I emailed a PST file from my desktop to my laptop only to find
out I can't do that. It was a file to update my address book.

I am a former Eudora user and that program did not restict files. What kind
of problems could I expect? Thanks

I feel confident enough that I can usually recognize and bad file and I also
keep my anti virus program up to date. Any opinions on removing the file
restrictions? Anyone have a bad experience? Thanks

Only remove the restriction when you are dealing with that type of
attachment multiple times on a daily basis and mail is the only method to
obtain those files. In all other cases simply leave it on. Note that a lot
of corporate security policies will block those type of attachments already
at server level unless they are being contained in a zip-file.
