changing/Assigning drive letters

I am using a database that uses the "F" drive as its
target location and runs a batch file that points to many
other folders in that same "F" Drive. My problem is that
my CD-Rom has been identified as my "F" drive. How do I
change the drive letter assigned to my CD-ROM ?

If you are using 2k or XP on your machine, then if you
right click on My Computer and go to manage you will be
able to change this through Disk Management on the left
hand pane.

If you go into disk management and right click on your CD
ROM drive, you will get the option to change drive letter.

Note that if the letter (say, D) is already in use then
you will need to clear it first (by temporarily assigning
a new letter) before you can assign it.
