Changing account from default clears data in message

In Outlook 2007 on XP Pro SP2 and SP3 I have found that when I create a new
message with data entered besides the automatic signature that when I change
the account from the default account all data I have entereded into the
message section is cleared and it returns to the empty message with the
automatic signature.

I can then re-enter the data/message and it sends okay. Workaround is to try
and remember to enter the message AFTER changing the account. Any clues as to
why this is happening or way to stop the problem?

You're entering your message data into the signature area of your message.
When you change accounts, the signature area gets replaced with the
signature of the new account. Since you've put data in the signature area,
it gets wiped. The solution is to type only above the signature, not in it.
