Changing a keyboard key.

Ok... I admit I am a fumble-fingered, don't look at the screen, typist, and
my spelling leaves a lot to be improved. That siad I have this problem.
Many... many... Many times when I am typing and I hit the SHIFT key I
accidently hit the CAPS LOCK key instead. I usually go about th2 or 3 lines
with the case reversed. sORT OF LIKE THIS.

Is there a way to may the CAPS LOCK key only work when it is in conjunction
with another key? Something like Ctrl + CAPS LOCK ????

If there is... please write me at (e-mail address removed) and tell me how. I
will deeply appreciate it.

No, but you can change CapsLock into an extra Shift key, which is
what I did because I have the same problem you do.

Control Panel > Accessibility Options > ToggleKeys > check "Use
ToggleKeys" click OK and now when ever you hit CAP LOCK you will get
a beep for ON and a bop for OFF.
This may help.

It depends on your computer, but on mine I find that that beep is almost
inaudible.

Cylon12, another alternative you may want to consider is to disable the key
entirely. Like you, I often accidentally hit the caps lock key. Since I
never want to use it, I find it's best to disable it. There are several ways
to do this. The one that I use is the freeware SharpKeys at
http://www.randyrants.com/sharpkeys/

I use the same program to disable the Insert key, another key I never want
to use, but sometimes hit accidentally.
