Changes to MSCONFIG cannot use mouse/keyboard

Hopefully someone brighter than me can help me out with this one...I
was tryin to install the setpoint software program(I know!) for the
Logitech keyboards and it asked me to do the following to help with the
install... To do a clean boot in Windows
XP...http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=228
i.e change MSCONFIG configuration...

I went through the process and on rebooting my keyboard and mouse are
not responding. I have been in through safe mode but only come up to
Logon screen to enter my password and still no reponse from mouse or
keyboard. Is ther anything else I can try without reloading the
operating system which I would prefer not to do?

Thanks in advance
Jamie

Please quote the messages you reply to, it makes it much easier to
follow; it's a tedious pain to have to bounce between messages.

If you can get to the boot menu by pressing F8 then select Last Known
Good Configuration.
