Changes to excel are not seen

Recently I found excel 2007 behaving quite odd when files does not show saved
changes made by other users. It is as if we are opening and working on two
separate files even if we are both opening and using the same file from the
same shared location. I closed the file and re-opened it and still no changes
on the updated file as seen from my computer. I even shared the workbook file
and it still behaves the same. We are both on Vista ultimate machines using
excel 2007 platforms.

Hi,

I was under the impression that you wouldn't see changes until you did a
save and the other person had also saved. I'm sure you both saved, but you
didn't state that so I just figured I ought to make sure.

Also:
More than one user cannot simultaneously make changes to a shared workbook
that is stored on a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site. If you want to
store your workbook on a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site, you should do
so only after the collaboration effort through sharing is complete

If this helps, please click the Yes button.
