Changed Memory- Asks for new Product key

Hey-

I just changed the memory on my Dell Laptop (from 1 gb to 2 gb), and now my
home premium is asking for a new product key, and it won't accept the one
that I legally purchased. Is this a common problem; is product key
information saved on the memory?

Do telephone reactivation and speak to a human being.
I've never had to do this, but that's the advice given here over and over.
Talk to the person and they should reactivate you with no problems and not a
lot of questions.

I have the same problem with my Hdd. i had 2 set up in "mirror" raid and the
last update i got about 2 or 3 days ago did not compleate as my Raid
controler failed
(Not known wether it was the update or just old age but i do not think 3
month could be called old)
I removed 1 Hdd and turned off raid so i could run on just the 1 Hdd untill
i can get replacement parts and i got this come up too

Its about 5 times now i have had to call paris and get it "re-activeated"
and i guess i will have to do it all over again when i get my new mainboard.
I have Never knows the Automated Olnine system work

having to make that phone call without even changing/adding any hardware IS
a big deal to some.
I just rearranged the RAM to enable the dual channel capability, using the
same 4 sticks of ram, and had to reactivate.
That type of thing is going too far. Antipiracy is one thing, but that is
ridiculous.
It took 18 minutes more than it should have (0).

And how many minutes a day do you waste here?
