Changed into Normal(Web) style???

Word documents are posted to a server, then downloaded across the Internet.
When I open such a file, the Styles are inconsistent. Most of that I chalk
up to the originators not knowing how to properly use Word! But somehow I
can't see any of them deliberately selecting and using the "Normal(Web)"
style.

When a Word doc passes into and out of the Internet, does Normal style
automatically become Normal(Web)?

Word Styles and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets for web pages are two different
creatures.

There are still webmasters creating pages using tables for layout and don't
have a clue how to use CSS. Although they seem to readily grasp Java,
Macromedia, Flash and all the other junk.

Word was never intended to be used as a tool for creating web pages.
As a result, any attempt that Word make at transforming CSS into Word Style
Sheets could prompltly be deleted (even without viewing).
