Changed format for Access documents

Since I changed to XP I am not able to create smaller
databases from a larger one, save it and print mailing
labels. Can no changes be made to a newly formatted
database with Access?
 
What exactly is it you used to be able to do? I'm afraid I don't understand
what you're talking about.
