I changed a user's computer name, dropped out of the domain, and re-entered
the domain and when I go to log into the domain, I get the following error:

The system cannot log you on due to the following error

The authentication service is unknown

This PC is running XP Pro and connecting to a Winnt 4.0 SP6a server. The
user is setup on the PC as a user that has administrative rights. She also
has an account on the server.

Is there something else I need to do?

Thanks,

John

The user should be able to continue her local logon to the computer.
As for re-joining the domain, the computer needs to be re-identified
for the domain and re-established by the domain administrator.
