Change to desktop appearance & fonts in Word/Excel/OE

Hi,

As of approx. 1 hr. ago, the text undermy desktop icons suddenly has a dark
shadowed background (which I like, by the way) and the fonts in Word, Excel,
and even Outlook Express, look more 'intense' for some reason. My desktop
settings do not appear to have changed. I noticed this after installing an
update to Webroot's Window Washer, although I don't see how that would be
relevant. Removed WW--same phenomenon, so I reinstalled it.

Win XP Pro, P4 2.8 Gig, 1 Gig RAM, by the way.

Has anybody ever had this happen?

Regards,

I have not seen this happen but I have a silly question. Have you rebooted
since? Strange stuff like that *OFTEN* goes away on reboot. Just start >
shut down > reboot... It might just do the trick actually.
