Hi Everybodies,

I have a client where some of the staff have a couple of email addresses,
like (e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed) all mail is delivered by SMTP and no pop
accounts is in use.

My question is, how does Joe [the user] change his send from address? I
mean if Joe wants to send mail from abc address on one email and on the next
use his 123 address.

I do hope this made sense.

Mark

That would depend on the Outlook version and editor, which you did not
mention. If the version is before Outlook 2002, you need to post your mail
support mode as well.

HI Russ,

I am using Outlook 2003 connected to Exchange 2000. Sorry about that ..

Then clarify your post. You said you were using SMTP.

We are using Outlook 2003 connected to Exchange 2000 and we handle our own
mail via the Exchange server. All mail is delivered by SMTP and no POP 3
accounts are in use.

I do know that when you are using POP 3 accounts you have an account button
where you can switch your reply address, but it appears that this
functionality is lost when you connected to an exchange server.

I do hope this made sense.

I see. I thought you were asking an Outlook question about the sending
account. You'd need to ask this in an Exchange group.

If all the addresses are assigned to a single mailbox, there is no built in
way to do this. See if any of the options at www.ivasoft.biz look like they
might help you.

Not necessarily - but you'd need to set up individual accounts/mailboxes for
each email address, use delivery options to send all inbound mail to the
'main' mailbox, and grant Send As rights to the mailbox for that user - so
they can use the From field to manually populate it. It's a pain.
I do hope this made sense.

Thank you, mam, for the assist. It sure wasn't apparent from his initial
post that he was using Exchange.

I only jumped in when I saw it mentioned. :-)
