change screen size to see dialog boxes?

I have a wide screen monitor. It's native resolution is 1280-720 I have the
computer software (Windows Vista Home edition) set to this size...

The picture is wonderful...BUT.......numerous
programs...specifically --Windows Movie Maker this evening....--have their
"command choices" on the very bottom of the dialog boxes. When I am set to
1280-720...the choice is too low to be seen. You cannot pull the box UP
enough, since it hits the top end of the screen and stops.

My work-around has been to change the screen resolution to 1280-900 ?? or
some -such. It look awful, but at least I can see, and select, the choices.

Any ideas?? I cannot find a way, in Moviemaker, to change the size of the
"choice boxes"??? Surely there is a way to be able to see the bottom line
of the boxes without changing to a poor resolution on one's screen..

thanks very much, Rich
