Change PC phone number

I just added a second number to my home phone
(Personalized Ring)(old time terminology, Party Line).
How do I program my computer to answer the new number?
This is not a second number, they are both on the same
phone line. Thanks!

WindowsXP does not support Distinctive Ring.
