Change network name/path in system.mdw

Hi,

Recently, the Access database which I had placed in my
department shared network drive has been changed to a
different name. Hence, I am now not able to open up most
of the forms and documents in this database. The error I
got was "The i:\sales\sales.mdb isn't a valid path. Make
sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you
are connected to the server on which the file resides.

How can I modify the system.mdw file so that now, it
recognises that the database is now on a different
server,path name?

Thank you.
Regards,

Is your database split into frontend/backend? If so you need to open your
frontend mdb and go to Tools, Database Utilities, Linked Table Manager and
refresh the links to the new location of the backend. Put a check in the
bottom of that dialog to get prompted for the new location. Also, if you
use Network Neighborhood to locate the backend, you won't require that the i
drive is mapped correctly. NN will link to the tables using the UNC
pathname.
