We are upgrading our file server and therefore moving all profiles and
documents to a new server. If we make the neccesay name change in AD for the
profile path this works fine. When we make the change in group policy to
change the location of My Documents nothing happens. When you logon your My
Documents is still pointing at the old location. The only way i have found to
get round this is to recreate the profile. I don't want to have to do this
for all my users though.
Does anyone know a way around this ? I can't change the name of the new
server to be the name of the old server either as it is a SQL server.
Thanks
