Change Mouse Pointer Shadow Color???

I have a new Dell 2400 with a flat panel monitor and a Logitech Cordless
mouse, with Mouseware installed, and the Enable Pointer Shadow option
checked in Mouseware. There's a shadow, but it's more like a blurred
whitish outline, not like the dark gray 3D effect shadow on my old desktop
system. Is there any way to change the shadow color for the mouse pointer,
or is this normal behavior for a flat panel monitor?

Could it be light grey-ish? Does it disappear on a white screen?

That isn't an answer to my question. But no, the "shadow" appears as a
whitish outline of the pointer about an eight of an inch on the right side
of it.
