Change many different size fonts by one click

For example I have a MS Word document and there are many different sized
fonts. Is there any solution to decrease all different sized fonts for
example 2 points so that they remain in different size?

Word has four built-in keyboard shortcuts for increasing and decreasing font
size:

Ctrl+> GrowFont
Ctrl+< ShrinkFont
Ctrl+] GrowFontOnePoint
Ctrl+[ ShrinkFontOnePoint

The difference between the first pair and the second pair is that the first
ones increase/decrease the font size to the next listed size in the font
dropdown. The second ones increase/decrease the font size by one point. In
some cases this is the same, in others vastly different. In your case, if
you select all and use Ctrl+] twice, you will increase the point size of all
the text by two points.

The possibility to use this shortcuts disapeared in one of my computers.
"Detect and Repair" did not fix it. How can I restore this function?.

Rename Normal.dot to oldnormal.dot. Restart Word for a clean default
version.

Thanks for the advice but did not work. I had previously delete Normal.dot.
After I followed your instructions and did not work, I deleted (after doing
a search) the 2 Normal.dot and the oldnormal.dot that appeared, I emptied the
Recycle Bin and still did not worked. I have Office 2003. None of the
keyboard shortcuts work. I had used Ctrl+Shift+> or Ctrl+Shift+< succesfuly
until 3 days ago. I never used Ctrl+> or Ctrl+[, before.

Shortcut assignments associated with Word commands are by default stored in
normal.dot. If they are not working after you have refreshed normal.dot as
suggested then it is likely that some third party tool (installed three days
ago!) is interfering with the keyboard assignments. See what else is
running and work through the tips at

There most be another reason since I have not install a third party tool
(except OneCare). I tried to do a "Detect and Repair" and that not only did
not fix my problem but gave a huge headache since it deleted ALL the data I
had in Outlook (years of gathering Contacts information AND all data in
Calendar). Fortunately I was able to restore it since I had it in another
laptop and in my Pocket PC Phone. Is this information usefull to you to help
me?.
I followed the links you suggested but I do not see how they are related to
my problem.

Your Outlook information is all still right where you left it. Detect and
Repair does not remove any information. It may have switched you to a new,
default .pst file, but the old one is right where you left it :-)

When you deleted Normal, I assume that BOTH Word and Outlook were quit? Not
just minimised? You need to Exit both, then delete Normal. Otherwise when
you next shut down or log off, the old Normal will be re-written right back
where it was, since it is stored in memory all the time Word or Outlook are
running.

Cheers

Thanks for the info but it has not help me to be able to use the keyboard
shortcuts "Ctrl+Shift+>" to increase the fonts in Word.
Not only I had both Word and Outlook totaly closed when I deleted Normal.dot
but I also did it in "Safe Mode".
I even deleted it (also from Recycle Bin) and pasted a Normal.dot from
another computer (after I emailed to the computer I have had problems with)

I FOUND HOW TO ENABLE THE SHORTCUT!!. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE INTO ENGLISH, IN
DETAILS ON LAUNGAGES FROM REGONAL AND LAGUAGES OPTIONS. THAT WAS SIMPLE, ONCE
YOU FOUND IT. NOTICE THIS EASY PROCESS FOR OTHERS WHO MAY ASK.
