Change local admin password?

Is there a script or better yet, a gp setting, to change the default local
admin password for all workstations?

If you want to give them all the same password, you can create a startup script
via Group Policy using the " net administrator newpassword " command. Since it
is a startup script, you can prevent regular users from viewing the password in
sysvol by removing everyone/users from the ntfs permissions to the batch file.
Just be sure that domain computers group has read/list /execute permissions to
the file. If you want to issue different passwords to each computer, use the
cusrmgr Resource Kit tool as described in the KB below. Keep in mind that for
startup scripts, the computers must be in the scope of influence of the
