It sounds as if the association for those files have changed. Are you
using
any graphics programs? First I would check the extension on the files
to
make sure they are still jpg and tif. If they are, then right click on
any
jpg and tif file and select "Open with" and chose the application to
open
the file. Also make sure the box "Always use" is checked.
If the extensions have actually changed, you can rename them back to
the
original extension.
