The default font in any given document depends on the default font selected
for the template. Don't even think about changing the default font in
Normal.dot (which should remain sacrosanct as each user's sandbox). Instead,
create document templates for specific document types and distribute those
to users.

Thank you for the thorough answer. But let me explain the reason for it.
I have set in Outlook signature (Arial 10) and the editor is Word. Sometimes
when you reply or create new e-mail message the first or second line from the
signature defaults to "Times New Roman 12". Any suggestions?
