Change default Save as type format

Hi there,

I have looked this up but the following does not appear to do what i am
expecting it to do.

I want to change the default save as type format from html (*.htm, *.html)
to outlook Message format - Unicode (*.msg) or outlook message format (*.msg)
the instructions i followed i thought where correct.

goto tools -> options -> other tab -> advanced options then put a tick in
Use Unicode Message format when saving messages.
then ok till you are back to main screen

What am missing? Maybe i am just setting the wrong option(s).

You cannot change the default file type Outlook will choose when you use
Save As, as far as I can tell. While you can select the .msg file type, the
drop-down will always default to .htm for HTML-format messages, to .rtf for
RIch text-format messages, and .txt for Plain Text-format messages.
