To change the default font size (this will also change the settings for
tooltips in Excel and other programs):
Right-click on the desktop, and choose Properties
On the Appearance tab, click Advanced.
From the Item dropdown, choose Tooltip
Choose a font Size, click OK, click OK
(Note: selecting a font type here will not affect the default font used
in Excel's comments)
To insert a comment with a specific font, you can use a macro:
thanks for your reply - that does seem to change the size
of the font when you type text into the comment but it
doesn't change the font style (I'm using XP) - can you
help?
If you only want to change the font in the comment box:-
Highlight the cell with the comment and right click, choose "edi
comment", then place the mouse cursor inside the comment box and righ
click again. Choose "format comment" and ....voila... you get all th
normal choices if fonts, sizes, bold, italics etc
