Change computer name

I need to change the computer name to reflect the new user. In system
properties -> Change, I changed to the new name and come up a dialog box as
below:-

Computer Name Changes

Enter the name and password of an account with permission to rename this
computer in the domain.

I tried to enter the administrator account of local computer and domain
administrator account without success. Can someone advise if what does this
require.

Either will work. If they don't then you need to provide full
details - "without success" means next to nothing.

I Entered local administrator and password or domain administrator and
password and got below error message.

Computer Name Changes

The following error occurred attempting to rename the computer to "NewName":
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

Try preceding your user name with the domain name, e.g.

DomainName\Scott

You could also log on as a local administrator in order to
avoid being challenged for a password when changing
the computer name.
