There is no easy solution other than to re-install Windows 2000 Pro
after wiping the entire hard drive. What happened was that there was
1 partition already on the HD when Win2K was last installed to a
newly created partition. On the re-install, make sure that the Winnt
folder is going to Drive C. And BTW, back up any data files that
are already on the computer as the HD is going to be wiped clean.

I just went through this problem. Look at knowledgebase
article 223188. Follow it exactly and BE SURE to use a
capital letter for the drive letter!
