CF2.0 and .net 1.1

D

Darren Coleman

I need to get confirmation about a CF 2.0 and .net 1.1 question for my
Project Manager.

I have a desktop App that is written in VS2003/.net 1.1; I will be writing a
Pocket PC app that will be in VS2005/CF 2.0. The two apps will be
communicating with each other;exchanging xml/data files; some of the desktop
code will be ported into the CF2.0 App. Is there anything that could be a
problem?

To illustrate what I mean we have a .net 1.1 app that works with a .net 2.0
web service; before the web service was build we had to make sure of all the
know issues before investing time and money into the project.

Thanks.

I'd say chances of potential issues are about the same as if you would use
NETCF V1 instead of V2.

Code porting would be easier as NETCF V2 matches desktop better.
