CF with DMA

Hi there,

I have problems with different flash cards which support DMA mode, but PIO
mode only cards run well.

Target:
Via Epia M Mini ITX board
CF on IDE interface, NTFS

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

I have been posting different flash drives to my website
(http://www.seanliming.com/flashhelp.html) that developers tell me about.

The companies that are dedicated to the embedded market are better suited to
support XPe. M-Systems is one such company. SimpleTech has been supportive.
MSTI/ICOP has IDE wtih DMA/Wearleveling flash drives. Another company
contacted me recently, Silicon Systems, and they have a CF with DMA
solution:

Hi Sean,

thanks for great link, but that doesn't help to solve the problem with the
DMA CF.

I use Transcend and Pretec cards in PIO mode and all is fine. But more and
more cards come with DMA mode and I want to get those cards running.

Thanks
