CF card does not boot DOS or XPE

I have been trying to install XPE on a CF card for some
time with no luck. I have gone through all the steps I
can find to prepair the card: marking it non-removable,
setting the active partition, bootprep, etc. I have set
up a dual partition system with the active partition as
the hard drive and was able to run the XPE FBA on the
flash card as a secondary drive. However I am unable to
boot solely from the CF card. I always get a blinking
cursor in the upper left hand of a black screen. I
recently tried to install DOS on the CF card and again the
same black screen. Could this be a problem with the CF
card? I am able to read and write files from it no
problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Ryan,

I've just seen your other posts related to the issue. If you could answer
Slobodan's question in the first thread, that would help you and us to nail
down the problem.

Have you tried fdisk /mbr? I had a similar problem with a hard drive that
was cured by this.
