CF ADPT-7 (compact flash IDE load)

Hi,

I want to boot Windows XP Embedded from Compact flash, thats connected to a
CF/IDE adapter.

But I get the following message "Disk Error"
The partition (FAT32) is active on the Compact flash.

Does anyone have any idea's clues or anything about booting from a CF
(connected to a IDE port)???

thanks

The CF: Kingston, and the 'CF->IDE' board: Mesa electronics.
I couldn't do a MS-DOS format on the device.
1, /s does not exist for Windows XP anymore.
2, you can't select "create msdos disk" from the right click menu.

But I did manage to get it to to work, by running "fdisk /mbr 2" (after
finding out what disk number it is) in the dos mode from a floppy, which I
tried to do it in GUI, but then crashed the CMD.

But yeah, It's now working, on my mini-itx board. :)

Thanks anyway

Peter
