Certificates & Publishers Question

OK, I'm an idiot! LOL! I was cruising through the Certificates and deleted
those that expired prior to today's date. Sounds harmless enough. Then I
went into Publishers and deleted duplicate entries. This could be an ooops!
When I restarted Windows2000 a window popped up that unrecognized files were
present and needed to be restored to original versions. Uh oh. I have SP4
so the original disc would override that right? I think I'm in trouble. I
booted from the CD and ran the fast repair but still got the error. What
should I do?

TIA!

OK, I fixed it. As a result of what I deleted, I got a 0x800B004 error on
the Windows Update site. So, I downloaded the IUCTL.CAB file which allowed
me to view the site. Et voila! Root Certificates was available for
download! So, I guess expired certificates are still required. Not sure I
understand that but whatevah!
