Certificate Error??

Jeff

We have a Windows 2000 forest with one main domain and a child domain. The
child domain is at a different site than our main headquarters. Replication
is not happening between that site/domain and our main domain. One the
remote DC the following error is in the DS log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NTDS Replication
Event Category: Replication
Event ID: 1383
Date: 12/18/2003
Time: 9:11:43 AM
User: Everyone
Computer: MNWDC
Description:
The local computer has no X.509 certificate of type "DomainController."
Until such a certificate is added, all DS replication between this server
and all servers in other sites will fail.

Has anyone seen this error? How should I go about solving it?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hello,

This message is usually associated with SMTP replication. Are you
attempting to use SMTP for replication? If so, I would suggest using RPC.
