My CEO loves to quadruple click on an application shortcut (outlook for
instance). These incidents usually opens up, multiple instances of the same
application. My question; short and simple, how can i prevent this?

You can go into mouse properties in the control panel and make the
double-click feature less sensitive.

Nope that wouldn't work. He is used to doing that. I've tried changing the
sensitivity on the mouse and i've also set a single single mouse click. I
want to know if anyone knows of a program or plug-in that might do this.

so what problem does this pose?
he has to deal with multiple programs!
if he's confused. obviously it's his won fault. he'll have to learn from his
mistakes.
just like kids and sometimes adults.

educate him. a ceo?

He'll change when it impacts his ability to do work - just let him deal
with it. Explain the reason 8 copies of Word open, the reason his
computer is slow, etc... Once he gets tired of it, he will stop.

Concider yourself lucky!
My CEO loves to give himself bonuses while cutting everyone else pay and
benefits.

It's a shame that the CEO can't be changed?

In all fairness it is probably poor practice to pander to stubbornness.

Maybe show him the accessibility features and verbal commands? (to the
computer I mean)
