Centering Text on Title Slide

The text on title slide of my PP presentation is centered. I save it and exit
the program. When I reopen it, the text is left aligned. Anybody know why?

Go to View > Master > Slide Master and select the thumbnail on the left side
that has the Title layout. Select the Title placeholder on the master and go to
Format > Alignment > Center. Return to View > Normal. Your title text should
be centered. Save the file and reopen it and the title should still be
centered.

The master controls the formatting of anything entered in a placeholder.
