Center Text Box on Slide

I would like to create a slide that consists of one big text box, centered on
the slide as a whole. How can I do this?

When I choose "Format Text Box" and "Position," the only options are to
position the text box a set distance from the top left corner of the slide or
a distance from the center of the slide. But I want the whole text box
centered on the whole slide. There must be a way to do this!

Assuming you're not using PPT 2007, click the textbox, then click Draw on
the Drawing toolbar and choose Align and Distribute. Choose the "align to
slide" option. Then click Draw | Align and Distribute again and choose the
center option. Do it one more time and choose the middle option.

You can actually grab the top of that Align and Distribute flyout menu (grey
bar with a bunch of dots) and drag it onto your workspace or dock it with
other toolbars so these tools are at your fingertips instead of having to
click Draw | Align and Distribute each time you want to click one of those
buttons!
