Cell problems - need a quicker way.

Hi there,

I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone can help me.

I have a spreadsheet that has an address column with data alread
filled in. for examle a cell in this column could contain "123 An
Road, Any Village, Any Town" and I need this cell to be spilt into
invidiual columns so that eventually the spreadsheet can be exporte
into another programme (ConQuest). i.e:
Cell in Column A = 123 Any Road
Cell in Column B = Any Village
Cell in Column C = Any Town

Does any one a quicker way to do this other then cutting and pastin
words from one cell into another.

Hi

If the parts of the address are separated by commas, you can use Data/Text
to columns. Select the column, tell the wizard that the delimiter is a
comma - and away you go.
Make sure you back up the data before you start.
