I am trying to change the formatting in a cell, but when I try clicking on
Format>cell, nothing happens. There's no protection or conditional
formatting on the worksheet, and I am able to format other cells in the
worksheet. Any idea of why I can't change a formatting of some cells but not
others? I don't get any error messages.
Thanks

Is your sheet or workbook protected? If so, unprotect...
Tools -> Protection...
Are you editing the cell when you attempt to format it? If so, hit Esc to
get out of editing mode.

The worksheet is not protected and I am not editing while formatting it.

Have you got any conditional formatting on that cell?

Click on the cell & check conditional formatting under the format menu
