CE 4.2 device and VS 2003 won't connect

I have an application that I wrote and I need to debug it on a ce 4.2
device. I cannot get visual studio to connect to the device. Active sync
connects fine but visual studio 2003 says it cannot find the device.

The device is a Symbol MC3000.

Does anyone have any ideas what the deal is here. I have a really tight
deadline to make this thing work and I am not having any luck.

Have you downloaded and installed the Add-on tools for Studio, which
includes the sdauthutildevice.exe utility?

The basics are the same for CE as well.

Thanks. I'll look that one up. I can however deploy to pocket pc. Just not
this version of CE.
