cdrom started caching files+icons. hard to refresh!

Any clues on this one? Windows XP.

The cd Rom drive (a liteon cdr) for some reason has started
remembering the previous cd in the drive and the files and paths
accessed before. If i replace the cd in the drive with a different one
the drive spins ( even an audio cd) then open explorer it still
appears as if the original disk list still in there until something
cant be accessed. Then errors and delays abound.

The disk name show in my computer still shows the previous disk and
not the newly inserted one.

Very weird.
