I sort of inherited a Dell System using Windows 2000 Professional. I have
dealt with Windows98 and know practically zero about W2000. Three CDs came
with it:
Operating System For Reinstalling Windows 2000 Professional Including
Service Pack 1, Drivers and Utilities and WinDVD V.3.0 .
I tried to connect a Sony's Digital Camera to one of the USB ports and the
System attempted to configure the new Hardware, but could not locate a
Driver. When I tried to use the Sony's CD with the appropriate Driver,
nothing happened.
My Computer showed The Drive as Compact Disk Drive D:
Right clicking or clicking on it kept producing the display telling me to
insert a disk in the Drive. I tried the OS CDs, but no go. Both Bios and, of
course, My Computer and the MS Explorer show the presence of the CDRom Drive.
Can anyone make anything of this?
Incidentally, can you comment about the Supplied CD's, especially the WinDVD
V.3.0?
Thank you!
