Look in the options/preferences of your cd writing program and see what
is available.

Isn't Roxio version 5 rather old? I don't use Roxio; on Windows I use
Nero and on Linux I use K3b. Both Nero and K3b give me the options to
choose whether to enable Joliet extensions, etc. If your Roxio program
doesn't allow this, then the solution is to buy a newer, more
full-featured burning program.

hey malke

yep, roxio certianly is past its best but ive gotta work with what ive got
here. although old it does give me the option to enable joliet extensions but
they have a max 64 unicode character length dont they? and therein lies my
problem i reckon

thanks for your advice here but looks like im stuffed and will need to
either re-name the files to a shorter length (which will bugger up the hyper
links ive created) and / or go and buy a system that is perhaps a little more
21st century

unless you have a devilishly cunning plan of course?

cheers and all the best

Sorry, the only cunning plan I have right now includes an
amusingly-shaped turnip. Nothing to help you with burning cd-r's. I'm
afraid you'll need to buy a better burning program. ;-)
