Cd writer is not dectected

I am unable to use my cdrw drive.. When i start to burn songs.. it states
that there is no recordable device.....

I have used the cd burner many times.. and when i go the the drives.. all
i have is local disc.. and st drive.. and dvd... i cant seem to find the cdrw
anywhere..... Could someone please help me??? I would most appreciate any
help.... thanks

Having same problem as is another lady. I am going to restore back to almost
1.5 months ago and see if this is probleme. I am dsabled veteran and dont'
got much money to pay out for trouble shooting. I can be reached at
