CD unreadable

I copied an audio/photo cd which plays fine on my PC and DVD player. My
friend is unable to play it on his PC or DVD player, keeps getting an insert
disc message. Did I copy it wrong or is his PC unable to read ? Need help.
Thanks

How are we supposed to know if you copied incorrectly, if you don't tell us
anything about how you copied the CD? And how are we supposed to know
anything at all about your friend's computer?

Sorry about that Ted, I copied it from my hard drive using Windows media
player. As mentioned it plays find on my computer and my DVD TV player. My
friend also has tried to run it on his PC using Windows media but is unable
to open.
I did use a CD RW disc. The lack of info is probably coming from my lack of
knowledge. If you can help using this info. great, if not I'll just write it
off.
Thanks

not all pc's can read cd-rw discs, and they need to be finalized using your
disc writing software, i have not found one dvd player that will play a
cd-rw, its hard enough getting them to play a vcd or svcd disc thats been
recorded onto a cdr, your best bet would be to buy yourself a dvd recorder
for the pc, and burn the disc onto that, i just picked one up for £40 inc
del. pete ;-)

i would use your cd writing software, if you put the disc in there should be
an option to fnalize the disc (no more writing allowed)
